A Weekend of Picnics

Ordy and I spent our anniversary night with a cute picnic on this beautiful piece of land his coworker owns and generously allows us to picnic there... We love it. It gives us a great excuse to take the Scout out for an hour drive, and when we get there- it always takes our breath away how peaceful it is.

I snuck some pics of Ordy taking it all in... I absolutely love this boy.

High Cotton (Ordy's Scout) looks so good out here :)

We'd love to own property like this some day in the near future. Absolutely love it.

We put our picnic blanket down and enjoyed a take out dinner of KFC :)

Cheesing it up for the camera, on the back of the Scout

This last pic cracks me up. It gets chilly in the Scout, so I keep a Snuggie in the back... well when the sun went down it got really chilly, so I put the Snuggie on, only for Ordy to die laughing saying I look homeless. HA. I acted like I was asking for change in my cup to play the part.

It was such a fun night and I love that our anniversary consisted of the following:
  • KFC
  • Being able to wear a t-shirt
  • No fancy dinner blowing $100+ only to eat something I can't pronounce...
  • Being with Ordy all alone with no distractions
  • Being out in the open listening to nature
  • Dreaming about our future
The next day, we had a picnic with Ordy's family for Mother's Day. Here are a few scenes from that!!

Some Instagram shots of the weekend!

  4. You guys are gross! No, I'm totally kidding! You are the most adorable things on Earth {besides my kids}. What a fun anniversary and I'm cracking up at your Snuggie! I have one too in blue. Love it, but my little guy uses it as his blanket in his bed "because it is soft" so I don't get to use it much. Hope you are doing well!
