Christmas Card Reveal!

As though you didn't think I loved my dog enough...  I just wanted to take this moment to show my online friends who might not have received our actual Christmas cards what they looked like. It's safe to post this now since I have been extremely on top of the card sending game {ahem, emily} and sent mine out on Dec 1. Probably because i thought if i had enough time to think about it i would reconsider and throw them all away hahaha i was scared no one would laugh and was even more scared they would take me seriously and think i've really lost my mind- but then i realized everyone receiving the cards know me very well and know my sense of humor + how crazy about bandit i am :) so off they went!

Here are some fun shots from the shoot with Bandit, haha.

Despite Ordy insisting different pics to use {he said these were all too "fallish"} i used them because our "Christmas" shoot didn't go as well as i had envisioned... *cue the menacing mutt*

he was being SUCH a diva

when he wasn't a diva, he looked terrifying. MEANIE.

And here were some potential cards {they were all too serious for a dog/owner card. maybe one day when i'm married i can have a cute one like that!}

It was a tie with the one i ordered and the last one... but i'm pretty sure the last one needed extra postage and that was the deal breaker haha i was already struggling justifying $30 in stamps to send christmas cards when i'm single haha


And here it is... our actual Christmas card! don't know why it got all blurry- but oh well!

***If you're wondering why Ordy Boy didn't make the card, well- I'm pretty traditional and think it's silly to have a BF on a Christmas card-- If we were engaged/married you better believe his cute face would be on that thing {i'm sure Ordy was thankful he didn't get put in a scarf and stuffed in a frame haha} but, I know my family would have a heart attack {good heart attack, like... excitement heart attack hahaha} thinking we were engaged if he joined us in the card :) Maybe next year? Who knows? As for now, I think Bandit makes a cute partner for holiday cards!

Portrait Season

Happy Thanksgiving! As you gather around your family and decide to take family portraits, please learn from these mistakes... I obviously have my dog in MY portrait, so MOST of these are pet related :)

As I prepare to create and send out my christmas cards, i struggle with the fine line of "cheesy" and "creepy" with Bandit. The thing is... I WANT to be cheesy, who SERIOUSLY wants to send out a pic of themselves with their pooch?? I'll end up looking like the loonies above! BUT, WHAT IF theyyyy MEANT to be cheesy and funny {doubt it}... is it really funny? haha who knows, i know that bandit and i will be funny because that's just who we are, but I can only imagine the people getting our cards and will be thinking "whatttttt?"

Ok, now that i'm thoroughly reconsidering my pooch portraits, i'm off to stuff my face with a thanksgiving feast!!! I'm so thankful for my friends and family!

And because I care, I share! Ok, enough being cheesy BUT i really do have something so exciting to share with y'all today!!! {I am interrupting my studies to share this amazing deal with y'all, so i hope you appreciate it!}

As you guys know, from this post, i briefly discussed the tons and tons of christmas cards i was looking at. it's so hard to pick! I have by far seen the CUTEST ones at shutterfly! I have ordered the most amazing photo books of my trips with Ordy from Shutterfly and have never been disappointed! They look so good and I love showing the pictures off in a book!

I had two of my blogger friends {Cute Momma, Cute Bride-to-Be} blogging about Shutterfly and their amazing deal (blog about their christmas cards and get 50 free!) i.am.so.happy. <--i type like that when i'm uber excited. don't question it, just go with it.

Here are my top 10. It was like an American Idol process as it went from 24 to 12 to 10... so hard to choose!!!

 I LOOOOVE Baby blue + white + red. I love it on cards, on blog designs, and even outfits! love some red + turquoise. Just such a great color combo... and SO into the chevron pattern. like whoa.

 This is so cute to sum up a year and keep family involved in a nutshell! I love this idea and it makes me excited to one day be able to have a card that didn't say : "Bandit outgrew his winter puffy vest. Bandit is currently 93 lbs. Bandit is now no longer terrified of his own farts poofters. Merry Christmas Y'all!"

okkkkk here goes that adorable color combo in a different hue. i really think this is the winner... but we'll see!

It's so hard to choose! but i definitely know whatever I pick is going to be fun/festive/fresh because I don't have a cute family photo going out like all these families! {but that's not stopping me from sending christmas cards!!!!}

What I Wore Wednesday!

Here it is... that lazy post... haha

This week would definitely be summed up as: "the week Sheila wore more of her grown-up shoes and broke an all time record..." as opposed to just throwing on my Uggs/flip-flops/moccasins with everything! NOT AS DRESSED UP as last week, but what can I say, this WIWW is truly an accountability group for the sweat wearing slob in me...

Thursday NIGHT (i say night because i wore sweats all DAY...i came home to "date night with ordy" which meant dressing up only to realize we wanted to stay in and cozy so we ran to Publix, picked a can of soup, warmed it up and watched a John Wayne movie... I'm OK with that!)

No full/proper outfit documentation, just know that I had a guh-reat hair day. and make up. everything was cooperating. go me.  this rarely happens, so i'm not vain or cocky saying this- just uber excited and thankful :)
